Edward Anderson

Edward is our curator specialising in amateur film. He joined the BFI in 2012, having previously worked at the North East Film Archive and the Yorkshire Film Archive in cataloguing, research, and database development. He has presented archive film shows across Yorkshire and the North East, including Contrast/Brilliance* for the National Media Museum’s Cine Yorkshire programme, as well as several community screenings. His areas of interest include the development of mass-market film and video technology and the cultures of home movie making, as well as contemporary trends in personal video making and sharing.
