Sarah Currant

Senior Librarian for Reader and Mediatheque Services

Sarah Currant joined the BFI as Reading Room Librarian in 2005, after two years at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Library. She became Reader Services Librarian in 2011, which expanded her role within the library team. Sarah manages front-end reader services through the Edwin Fox Foundation Reading Room – a gateway to information about the BFI’s vast collections.

As well as overseeing the day-to-day running and staffing of the reading room and access to materials, Sarah manages group study visits throughout the academic year. She also provides library tours and inductions to undergraduate and postgraduate students from UK and international universities. When not running visits, tours or evening events, Sarah can usually be found on general duty in the reading room, helping people navigate the wealth of resources on offer.
