Since it is impossible to pick THE 10 best films (they are different today than yesterday or tomorrow), and the result of the poll so far says more about the respondents than about the abundance of excellent films, I decided to add a tiny little change of perspective: So, I have selected 10 films from female directors, from the beginning of film history to today, in chronological order. Mind you, it wasn't any easier and just as random to make my choice!
