19-22 May Cannes Film Festival 2017 Anna Mansi and Chantel Burrell will be hosting pre-booked 1-2-1 meetings for UK and international producers who may need guidance on co-producing with the UK and qualifying as a British film to access UK tax reliefs. June 2017        
1-3 June Feral Vector A festival “about making games and gamelike things” celebrating the cultural and creative side of games. The BFI Certification Unit is supporting the event, and video games analyst Colm Seeley is attending. 13 June Sheffield Doc Fest — Marketplace Christopher Halliday and Margherita Modeo are on hand to talk to you about the process for certifying your film as British and accessing tax relief to help finance your documentaries or other film projects. 20 April BFI Animation Seminar 2017 (with UK Screen Alliance) The BFI Certification Unit in partnership with Animation UK/UK Screen Alliance are hosting a half day seminar of panels and presentations for the animation sector. London BFI Animation Seminar
6 April Policy UK — Hit Play UK — The Interactive Entertainment Market and the UK Anna Mansi will be on the panel ‘Funding & Investment: Competing Internationally, Monetising IP & the Video Games Pipeline’ with Alex Tutty (Sheridans) and Paul Durrant (UK Games Fund). London Hit Play UK

30 March — 1 April EGX Rezzed Members of the team will be on a panel to discuss the Video Games Tax Relief as well as be available for 1-2-1 meetings. London EGX Rezzed
February 2017

26 January Games London: Pitch Bootcamp Anna Mansi will be giving a presentation and will be available for 1-2-1 meetings, providing advice on the Video Games Tax Relief. London Games London
16-17 January Pocket Gamer Connects London Julia Brown and Colm Seeley will be in attendance, giving a detailed description of how to access Creative Industries Tax Relief (CITR) via the cultural test and what CITR can be worth as a source of funding. This talk is part of the ‘Show Me The Money’ track, which looks at sources of finance for games developers in the UK. London Pocket Gamer Connects
