Bring your class to the BFI IMAX for the ultimate film experience. IMAX films provide a great mix of entertainment and education, making them the perfect accompaniment to the curriculum. There are nine brand new educational titles to choose from - take a look at the full list of Educational IMAX films on the BFI website. During term time you can choose exclusive screening times which suit you, plus receive discounted prices on popcorn. Don't forget you can also catch Full feature films, which make for an unforgettable day out of the classroom.

Educational IMAX films

We can arrange special morning screenings exclusively for schools and colleges, teachers can select the film they want screened from our available film stock. We require the booking to be a minimum of 40 people. These screenings are usually timed at 10:30 or 11:45 on Monday, Tuesday or Friday, but we can be flexible on this. These times are set for IMAX titles, although full-feature films can be arranged. Bookings for schools and colleges can be made for any of our public screenings which start from early afternoon through to late evening.

For traditional IMAX films, which last from 45 to 60 minutes, the admission price for pupils aged 16 and under is £4.00, for students aged 17 and over it is £5.50. We allow one teacher free of charge with every 10 students and additional adults are charged at £5.95.

Full feature films

For full-length feature films, in IMAX format and in digital, the admission price for off-peak prices for pupils aged 16 and under is £9.25, for students aged 17 and over is £9.50, and teachers is £14.00. Peak prices for pupils aged 16 and under is £10.00, for students aged 17 and over is £10.50, and teachers is £15.00. Due to distributors' terms we are unable to allocate any free seats

How to Book
