Look Around You + Robert Popper & Peter Serafinowicz

To celebrate the 10th birthday of the cult TV show, we are screening all eight of the ten-minute films, followed by a Q&A with the creators.

It's ten years since Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz's award-winning spoof science shows - Look Around You - hit BBC2, inviting the audience to 'write that down in your copy books now'. Described by Simpsons creator Matt Groening as 'one of the funniest shows I've ever seen', Look Around You was like nothing you'd ever seen before - or since. With its odd mix of pseudo experiments (ants building an igloo; ghosts working with powdered calcium), nonsense words (thants, blants, mafipulation) and trippy, radiophonic-style music composed by Robert and Peter, Look Around You gained a massive cult following in the UK and US alike. In celebration of ten years of LAY, Robert, Peter and director Tim Kirkby will be screening all eight of the ten-minute films back-to-back, and will be taking to the stage for a Q&A. Robert and Peter will also be premiering their new short film made specially for the event. To add to the fun, the audience will be invited to come dressed 'Look Around You-style'. Extra marks are awarded for lab coats. Gold stars are given for particularly good beards.

We are delighted that broadcaster and journalist Jonathan Ross will host the Q&A following the screening.
