Seniors' Free Matinee: My Winnipeg

Memories, dreams and reflections mingle with clear-eyed regret in Maddin's 'docu-fantasia'.

Memories, dreams and reflections mingle with clear-eyed regret in Maddin's 'docu-fantasia' about his Canadian prairie home. Maddin mixes animation, archive footage and recreated scenes of childhood trauma in his usual neo-Soviet style in an attempt to break free.

This screening, supported by the City Bridge Trust, is free for over-60s; otherwise tickets are available at normal matinee price.

With an introduction followed by discussion and refreshments after screening.
