The Muppet Christmas Carol

Scintillating family fun, as Dickens' ever-popular Christmas tale gets the full Muppet treatment. One of the most creatively and commercially successful of the Muppets' big-screen excursions, this manages to be faithful to the spirit of Dickens' work. Featuring some splendid set-pieces, including, of course, delightful musical moments, it also admirably recreates in proper Henson-style Ye Olde London. Inventive, affectionate and funny, it is enhanced by Michael Caine as an impressively horrible Ebenezer Scrooge.
