A lovelorn pensioner travels south in search of what might have been in Zhu Wen's romantic-erotic reverie; featuring a cameo by director Tian Zhuangzhuang.
Novelist-turned-director Zhu tells the story of a pensioner who suddenly suspects that he married the wrong person 40 years ago and takes a trip south to tropical Yunnan to look for the girl he jilted. An encounter with the matriarchal Mosuo tribe traps him in an erotic reverie; an extortion scam traps him in the hands of the local police chief, played by director Tian Zhuangzhuang. A gem.
