Bloody Kids

Writer Stephen Poliakoff creates a disturbing world of disaffected youth.

When a dysfunctional child's fantasy (to fake being stabbed by his best friend) is put into action, both kids are enveloped in a nightmare spinning rapidly out of control. Frears and writer Stephen Poliakoff create a disturbing world of disaffected youth prowling the night time streets where reality is skewed to heighten the psychological impact. A dream-like state perfectly suited to the sense of alienation being expressed in the early 80s.
