New York, 1929. Fat Sam and Dandy Dan lead rival gangs. Dan's upgrade to a gun that shoots cream over his opponents has given him the edge over Sam's traditionally hand-thrown pies, and it looks as if victory may be in his sight. But he hasn't reckoned on the ambitions of Bugsy Malone, caught up in Sam's gang and with a dream of making it in Hollywood with his sweetheart Blousey Brown.
