Preview of the new film by Shane Meadows, his first made in the capital. We are pleased to announce that Shane Meadows will give a short Q&A after this screening. This will be followed by Gavin Clark and other musicians performing songs from the film’s original soundtrack.
Shot in monochrome in contemporary Camden, Somers Town is Shane Meadows' first film made in the capital. Following the cameraderie between two boys (one of whom is Thomas Turgoose from This Is England), the story suggests that despite alienating urban environments and fractured family relationships, redemption and friendship can still be found - even in the most unlikely places. Following the screening, musician Gavin Clark will perform songs from the film's original soundtrack.
