Four people cope with various crises in this brave urban fairytale.
A magical realist exploration of the intersection of love, fantasy and faith in four disparate lives, the film moves deftly between contemporary London and the futurist Meanwhile City. Notable for its bold, original use of metropolitan locations.
Jeremy Thomas and Gerald McMorrow will take part in a post-screening Q&A.
Produced by British industry veteran Jeremy Thomas, McMorrow's debut feature follows the lives of four people in and around London who are attempting to cope with varying crises in their lives, from a relationship break-up and the search for a missing son to the psychological after-effects of military action. The film treads a fine line between realism and fantasy and at times leads us to a seductively strange vision of the city that appears part-futuristic and part-medieval.
