The Variety UK Achievement in Film Award - Paul Greengrass

Variety is proud to be working with The Times BFI 51st London Film Festival to present the UK Achievement in Film Award to Paul Greengrass. The award will celebrate this leading figure's artistic contribution to the UK film industry and international cinema. This exclusive special event, held for the first time in conjunction with the LFF, will comprise of an extended on-stage interview with Paul Greengrass, and include a comprehensive look back through his body of work, as well as preview his upcoming projects. Ever since his TV work with The Murder of Stephen Lawrence and Bloody Sunday, Greengrass has established an unassailable reputation for gritty realism, brutal honesty and searing power. The director has carried this through to his work on the big screen, with his two contributions to the Jason Bourne trilogy, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, as well as last year's intense United 93. Variety is delighted to be honouring this superlative filmmaker.
