La Influencia

A single mother's sanity slowly unravels, leaving her children bewildered

Another surprise film that I was very glad to have caught. Not a thudding grinding down but a glimpse into the very human phenomena of depression and a young family's response to it. Even to the end the film leaves it open as to how to think feel and respond to the mother and her family. The film touches unknown areas and resonates in a mysterious way. It is somehow special. Lastly, I did not feel depressed at the end and I don't expect anyone else to either, puzzled a bit maybe but that is the worst you may experience and otherwise it was a provoking one.
