also starring Tim Woodward
this is short film by first time director James Hughes
and was one of the last three films to be funded by
the Newham Short Film Production Scheme.
producers were Ray Verma and Cynthia de Souza. The exec producer was Jules Hussey.
The Newham Short Film Production scheme was one of several
London Borough schemes for new directors funded by
Film London East, LDA and ERDF. The schemes no longer exist
but the films are doing well. Not only is Maude showing at
this festival but a previous year's film ('What Does your Daddy Do") has been selected for a British Independent Film Award for Best British Short.
Its short film schemes like these which help produce the feature film makers (producers, directors and crew) of tomorrow and keep festivals like the BFI London Film Festival full of such exciting material.
