Long regarded as one of Europe's most tranquil and tolerant countries, Switzerland has unsurprisingly become a magnet for asylum seekers. This documentary portrait of a Swiss detention centre and the personal stories of some of its motley inhabitants shows the reality of the process. Under permanent CCTV surveillance, the institution is almost a penal colony, with an overwhelming probability of deportation at the end - just 1% of applications are successful.
