Mondays in the Sun

In the port city of Vigo, six former shipyard workers, mostly in their forties and fifties pass the time at a bar that one of them opened after they were laid off. There, they drink and discuss future plans that range from the grimly realistic to the touchingly wide-eyed. Javier Bardem is outstanding as the group's linchpin, constantly ensuring that they never lose their sense of humour.
