The Future Film Festival

Shoot the future, see the future…

The Future Film Festival

The Future Film Festival is the British Film Institute's annual film festival for young people and is held at the BFI Southbank in London.

In 2009 nearly 1500 young people attended the 2nd Future Film Festival; highlights included Q+As with Noel Clarke and Asif Kapadia, practical workshops covering everything from Bollywood dancing, to storyboarding, camera skills to make-up design and everything in between, not to mention the 2009 Future Film Awards ceremony and premiere screenings of 40 short films made by young filmmakers from all over the UK selected by a panel of judges and young people.

And if you are a young filmmaker you'll be pleased to know we are now accepting entries to our 3rd Future Film Festival in February 2010. Click here to find out how to send us your film and download a submission form for a chance to see your film on the big screen!
