John Hurt stars in this landmark ITV production based on the 1968 autobiography of Quentin Crisp.

We are delighted to announce that director Jack Gold and actor John Hurt will introduce this screening. Please note that the transmission date of the eagerly anticipated sequel, An Englishman in New York, has been put back so we now hope to preview the film next March (and not December as mentioned in the November programme).

Quentin Crisp was born on Christmas Day 1908. This landmark production was based on Quentin's 1968 autobiography telling of his life as a flame-haired, flamboyant homosexual. John Hurt gives a brilliantly memorable performance.
