Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Wonderfully warped gothic musical romance.
Tim Burton’s second full-length stop-motion animation is a visually astonishing, musical romance about a shy groom pulled into the Land of the Undead and engaged to the Corpse Bride.
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Burton's second foray into full-length stop-motion animation is a sassy, spirited, visually astonishing, wonderfully warped gothic musical romance. Deep in the woods, practising his wedding vows, shy groom Vincent (Depp) finds himself unwittingly pulled into the Land Of The Dead and engaged to the cadaverous Corpse Bride (Bonham Carter), leaving his fiancée Victoria (Watson) at the mercy of the dastardly Barkis (Richard E Grant).
With songs and score from Danny Elfman, and sublime, computer-enhanced stop-motion, this is another of Burton's tales of misfits and inversion - the underworld being more alive and colourful than the land of the living.
Bones (The Killers)
Burton's sole venture into pop video, for one of his favourite bands, this features clips from Jason and the Argonauts and Creature from the Black Lagoon, the band morphing into Ray Harryhausen-esque skeletons.
