New BFI Film Clubs – Open call for partners

BFI are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for existing and new partners to deliver a series of ‘script to screen’ film clubs in DfE ‘Opportunity Areas’, between May and December 2020. Funded jointly by the DCMS and National Lottery we want to engage young people (12-15) in practical film making courses, led by industry professionals.

In view of the current uncertainty arising from COVID-19, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications to the BFI Film Club fund until Friday 5 June. We are conscious that potential providers might have more pressing concerns at the moment, but we also want to enable applicants to work out what a feasible delivery model might be given that recruiting to and running clubs in the coming summer term will be very challenging. We have had to delay the assessment period and we are also extending the delivery timescale of the programme up to the end of March 2021.
