BFI LFF virtual press and industry platform powered by Shift72

From 1 October press and industry delegates will have access to the BFI LFF virtual press and industry platform, powered by Shift72. All virtual press and industry screenings, industry events, digital viewing library films and the industry delegate guide will be available on this platform along with resources for press. Prior to 1 October you will receive a link from the platform allowing you to register an account. You must register an account before you are given access to the platform.

Please note that neither industry nor press accreditation enables access to in-cinema screenings taking place at BFI Southbank or any of our partner venues.

Digital viewing library

As with our previous editions of the festival, some films will be available to access on our digital viewing library throughout the duration of the festival. The digital viewing library will be available on the BFI LFF Virtual Press and Industry platform . This year the digital viewing library will host our shorts film programme and be available from 1 October to 30 October 2020. A full list of the available sorts will be published with the press and industry screening schedule. All shorts will be available on BFI Player for members of the public between 7 and 18 October.

Virtual press and industry screenings

Virtual press and industry screenings will take place from 10am on 2 October and run until 17 October (including weekends). The virtual press and Industry screenings will take place at designated times. You will need to log in to the virtual press and Industry platform to view films at a set time aa these films will only be available for a very limited period.

In most cases the accessibility window for films will be 1 hour. Within this hour you will need to start streaming the film. You can continue to stream the film after this hour but if you leave the browser window after the accessibility window you will lose access to the film.

Technical help and guidance will be available on the platform.

Industry delegate directory

Industry delegates who have agreed for their information to be published in the industry delegate directory will be included in this document. The directory is a resource for industry professionals to contact other delegates.

Industry events

Industry events or access to events will also be available through the virtual press and industry platform. These events will be included in the press and industry schedule.

  • A ticket ballot available for press delegates for public virtual screenings only (taking place on BFI Player); please note that tickets will be very limited.
