Comedy, drama. The United States Supreme Court has nine Justices. When one dies or retires, the President appoints a new judge in the role. Dan Snow, a crusty and outspoken liberal, is on vacation when he gets word that one of his colleague has died. At first, he is delighted to hear that the President has named a woman to fill the vacancy. However, his attitude changes when he discovers that the first female Justice on the Supreme Court is to be the arch-conservative Judge Ruth Loomis.
