Synopsis

How the action of a group of local people in Islington without particular influence started an adventure playground. THIS WEEK went into one of the poorest areas in Islington, London to see what ordinary people are actually doing in a situation of racial tension. Includes interviews with Martin Peck (Assistant Playground leader), Basil Nobbs (a Pentonville Prison Officer), and local parents.

This was the second of two THIS WEEK editions on race. The previous programme EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW was broadcast on 3/9/1970.
