Dangerous Moonlight (1941)

An American reporter falls for a Polish pilot and pianist in this Blitz-set romance.
Shot during the Blitz at Denham Film Studios, which was itself caught in the onslaught, this hugely successful romance was retitled Suicide Squadron in the USA. Sally Gray plays an American reporter who falls in love with a Polish pilot and pianist (Anton Walbrook). The film’s ‘Warsaw Concerto’ became one of the best-loved pieces of music during this time and is, for many, synonymous with the Blitz.
