Film details


Political drama. Hamer Radshaw brought up in a north country mill town believes in the people's battle for 'bread and liberty'. His wife becomes a suffragette; later she dies of consumption. Hamer comes to power with the Labour Party but he realises that he has not been true to his early ideals.
