Western. Buffalo trader Tennessee Matthews comes to the aid of a wagon train of settlers travelling from Fort Laramie to Sacramento, and particulary Virginia Hawkins, whose father has rashly been boasting about his gold claim he is going to, making him a target for those trying to steal his map and claim. The wagon train's guide, O'Hara is unscrupulous and arranges for an attack on the settlers from his lover Lola's Indian tribe. They are saved by Tennessee, who also sves them from a buffalo stampede.
