Synopsis

Story of Ramuntcho, a Basque who earns his living by smuggling. He loves Franchita, whose mother wants her to marry the captain of the frontier guards. Ramuntcho is forced to flee to Indo-China, and Franchita takes refuge in a convent. He returns and eventually they leave for America.
