Synopsis

Actor Julian Gordon discovers that his actress wife Mae Feather is having an affair with screen comedian Andy Wilks and instigates divorce proceedings that could potentially ruin her career. A desperate Feather decides to kill Gordon by patting a real bullet in a prop gun being used in the production of his latest film. A mix-up results in the gun being used in another production, one starring Wilks who is subsequently shot and killed. Gordon goes ahead with the divorce and goes on to become a successful director while Feather's career is destroyed. Years later she turns up as an extra in one of his films.
