Synopsis

On a slave-ship in 1820 the slaves find a courageous leader who hopes for help from the slave girl-friend of the white captain. At first she insists on the folly of revolt but she joins them in their last desperate resistance, leaving the captain alone. From the novel by Prosper Merimée
