Synopsis

Siberia, early 1900s. Avacum, a trapper of the old order retreats into the wilderness after being falsely accused of killing a man in a hunting accident. He is joined by a tigress whose mate he earlier shot and a wary truce develops between them. Two cubs are born and raised and when the tigress is killed, Avacum becomes their adopted parent.
