Synopsis

Traces the development of brass instruments, which evolved from the first primitive cowhorn. Includes music played by members of the Early Music Consort of London: David Corkhill (percussion), Peter Goodwin, Christopher Hogwood (keyboards), Michael Laird, Alan Lumsden, Martin Nicholls, Crispian Steele-Perkins (trumpets) and Roger Brenner. Filmed at Ordsall Hall, Salford.
