Synopsis

When wealthy Geraldine Wheeler is leaving home on holiday, she is killed by the taxi-driver, Lucas, at the instigation of her brother, David, and her body is buried in the woods. Aunt Helen sends for David and Caroline and brings an orphan girl, Annie Jones, who has extrasensory powers, to stay at the house. Annie becomes infatuated with David who prevents Lucas from killing her when she sleepwalks near the body. The next day the police are present when Annie goes into a trance. Nothing is revealed and she is sent back to the orphanage. At the station Lucas accosts David, asking for money and says he has dug up the body. The police suspect David and Lucas. In a chase, Lucas's car overturns. The body is revealed and Lucas confesses before he dies.
