Film details

Kenneth Burns gambles on the stock market, investing his firm's money. When his secretary Mary Harper gives him her and her electrician boyfriend's savings to invest, he uses them to cover his loss with his broker. However, Mary and her boyfriend Jimmy quarrel, and she wants her money back so she can return Jimmy's share to him. Burns refuses. Meanwhile, Burns' wife Ann wants a divorce, having fallen in love with solicitor David Witman. Burns agrees, but only if she gives him a large settlement. Rumour causes a run on the bank, and Burns accidentally falls out of a skyscraper window after an argument and fight with Jimmy. Jimmy and Mary are reconciled.
