Film details


Joesph Mnwana, a black South African arrives at Heathrow asking for political asylum, but there is a vagueness about what he is actually fleeing from, and the authorities are suspicious. Flamboyant South African lawyer David Samuels, now living in London, takes up Joseph's case with the Home Office and gives him lodgings in Brixton, where he encounters, Laura, an eccentric neighbour who shows him kindness and love, and takes up the challenge of this refugee and his cause.
