Discusses doubts being thrown on the "Big Bang" theory of evolution by new observations from telescopes and orbiting satellites showing that space contains great clusters of galaxies and vast empty voids; phenomena for which the current theory can give no satisfactory explanation. Nine-tenths of the mass the universe should contain according to existing astronomical theories cannot be found. The programme investigates.
