In 1990, a top international fell runner, Hugh Symonds, set out on an extraordinary test of endurance. His target was to run up and between all of Britain's 296 mountains in 100 days. The film shows how he accomplished the feat in a total of 82 days 23 hours. He was joined by runners from local clubs throughout the country to verify the running, provide company and help carry provisions. Talking to camera while running, he explains how distance running is a form of therapy similar to yoga and compares the journey to running further than from Manchester to Barcelona and back.
