One of a series of programmes celebrating the role of engineering in modern society. Suggests that Leonardo da Vinci was a pioneering engineer by using computer technology to show that his painting of "The Last Supper" is like a mathematical fantasy - like a flight simulator, 3D computer graphics or even a photograph. Deceiving the eye is a key element of an modern engineer's technique. The programme also considers why television pictures, which are fake, are so seductive.
