Synopsis

A look at cancer research, and the lack of evidence that there has been much progress over the last 50-60 years. Some researchers think that there is no cure in sight. Why is so little research done into cancer prevention? The Imperial Cancer Research Fund and Campaign has an annual income of over £80 million. Progress is claimed for the treatment of rarer cancers, but 240,000 people get cancer and 160,000 die from it each year.
