Synopsis

Overview of the various ways people are using technology and drugs to enhance their lives. Examines virtual reality and other controlled environments and how they are used as substitutes for real-life experiences. Begins in Japan with a look at indoor ski and beach resorts that accommodate up to 10,000 visitors a day; moves to Las Vegas to explore a range of fantastic pre-packaged wedding possibilities and recreations of natural disasters such as sinking ships; includes footage of rave parties and interviews with tranvestites at the Limelight in New York.
