Comedy, set in 1945, about a self-assured Polish army surgeon. Given three weeks leave by a grateful patient in Poland's security force, the doctor, manages to pass himself off as a member of the service when he gets himself into an awkward situation. Flushed with success, he maintains the charade which now involves several accomplices, and sets off around the country, freeing counter-revolutionaries from prison and doing good works.
