The last programme in the series on how the people of European nations view changes in their countries looks at Poland. Christine Ockrent meets pilgrims visiting the Black Madonna to discuss their opinions on the state of the country. Karol Malcyzynski reports from Gdansk on the bleak prospects for the 7,000-strong workforce at the shipyard that was the birthplace of Solidarity, and talks with former Preisdent Lech Walesa. Klaus Schwagrzinna meets the controversial Jerzy Urban, former spokesman for Poland's martial law regime, who has become the editor and publisher of the country's most scandalous tabloid newspaper.
