Synopsis

Documentary on the plight of Jewish refugees from 1945 to 1948, who survived the Holocaust only to face hostility and indifference from the nations victorious in World War II, including Great Britain and the United States. Living for months in `Displaced Persons Camps' most of the holocaust survivors wanted to start new lives in the hoped-for Jewish state in British-administered Palestine but immigration restrictions forced many of them to travel there illegally.
