Since his election as an MP Ken Livingstone has been excluded from Labour Party policy-making and relations between his local Brent Labour Party and Brent Council are at a low ebb. He is concentrating on an analysis of economic history on his own computer as he thinks Labour could be perceived to manage the economy as successfully as the Conservatives using his studies.
