God's Not Dead 2 (2016)

Film details

Synopsis

Drama. Grace Wesley, a teacher at Dr Martin Luther King High School in Little Rock, is chastised by the principal for telling her class that Dr King's non-violent activism was inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ. The school argues that Grace has violated the expected total separation of church and state. The matter goes to court, with civil liberties lawyer Peter Kane hoping to use the case to remove God from public discourse altogether, while Grace's lawyer Tom Endler goes to unusual lengths to defend her constitutional right to speak about the historical person of Christ.
