11am to 12pm, 8 December 2022, online

This interactive event will compare two new additions to the list of set products for Eduqas Film Studies GCSE. In the first half, we will use clips from the two films to model analysis of key features, and how they impact on audience responses. In the second half, we will examine the way the two films subvert the conventions of the horror/teen movie genres, and offer challenging representations of parenting and childhood.

This session would be specifically useful for those teaching or studying Eduqas GCSE Film Studies, but would also be useful for other students investigating genre and representation.
