11am to 12pm, 10 February, online

This accessible online event aims to develop students’ understanding of auteur theory. We will evaluate particular meanings and values which are attached to the film, Do The Right Thing (1989) and critically assess how an auteur approach can be useful in developing our understanding and appreciation of the film, while also critiquing auteur theory itself.

This event can also be linked to our schools screening of Do The Right Thing at BFI Southbank on Thursday 3 February.
