Gerry Canavan

Gerry Canavan is an assistant professor of 20th- and 21st-century literature at Marquette University, and one of the co-editors of the journal Science Fiction Film and Television (whose special issue on Star Trek at 50 comes out this autumn).

He blogs at gerrycanavan.wordpress.com and tweets at @gerrycanavan; his book on legendary African-American science fiction writer (and devoted Star Trek fan) Octavia E. Butler also comes out this fall in the Modern Masters of Science Fiction series at University of Illinois Press.
