The artist-turned filmmaker director, his 85 year-old grandmother and seven year-old daughter, Eden, who suffers from Jouberts syndrome and can only "talk" through sign language, journey around the coastline of Britain and into each other's worlds. They develop a dialogue amongst the eccentrics and "normal" people who populate the coastal regions, while the director provides insights into the various generations of his family.
